Susan Dorr, our International Chair, initated the 3rd Thursday updating from the International Committee, by having Francis Wheeler-Berta spend a few minutes with our Club updating us on CASA ALITAS, located in Tuscon, AZ.  Frannie's email is luciferlucyloo@gmail.com for those that want to write to Frannie, and all are encouraged to view their website and donate, as one sees fit.

President Mark shared another "Service above Self" moment, with this week's story from the July 2nd Washington Post, about a 90-year old woman who has created over 11,000 tiny hand-made hats for newborn babies.

Paul Doiron was our featured speaker this week, and he read the first chapter from his latest Mike Bowditch series book, "Dead by Dawn". Many in the club expressed their passion for reading the entire series, encouraging others who may not have ever read any of the series to do so.  Paul's latest book is the 12th in the series, and he told us that #13 is in the works at the present time.

Each Committee Chair is reminded to identify a representative from their Committee to be on the Public Image/Public Relations Committee, which is being co-chaired by Mimi Edmunds. Another member is also being sought to be a co-chair with Mimi.
