Speaker of the Day: Strategic Monitoring Committee (Club Assembly)

Strategic Plan for WB will be sent out to everyone for review. Provide input to Ken. Initiated 3 years ago, contains mission and vision statements. There are 5 strategic priorities that need to be reviewed annually to track to see how we are doing. One year of Zoom meetings has altered our progress. Development and retention of club members has been a challenge due to Covid. Fellowship to involved more members has been a challenge but we have worked to perform some events. Service opportunities in pretty on target, different opportunities are currently being developed. We will start back up the Rotary Minute to increase our education. Fine tune our fund raising events (been difficult this year). Enhancing Rotary Foundation efforts (presenting information and education). Improve club governance and processes (committee chairs, meeting protocols, officers etc). Strengthen community service efforts (looking for needs of the community).

Leadership Institute: we all received emails from George, please try to sign up and participate. Great tool!

Kate Walker Spencer (Jr in High School) is working on a project AP Capstone, where you learn how to research. Topic is Rotary International (in Maine) altruism and the different pillars of happiness. The real question is ‘Is Rotary Inclusive’? There is a total of 7 clubs included in this survey. Inclusivity Survey Link: https://forms.gle/M49fML9ZaY5PXtL36.
