Speaker of the Day: Greg Marley/NAMI Maine

Greg is a LCSW Clinical Director with NAMI Maine, Mental Health Services for people during covid. Coping with Covid. NAMI is getting state support as well, a need is recognized. Impact of Covid are everywhere!

Some people, introverts, are doing ok during these crazy covid times. Stages of grief actually are applicable during this stage of getting through Covid. But we have begun to innovate. Who do we choose to be during this pandemic? Learn how to give back? Self-care and a sense of routine. Resilience results. When you have choices, you have access to options. Lead with kindness. There are a lot of services offered and can communicate places to go for assistance.

Suicide attempts have increased during this time, there are people out there for support and help, helping teens, healthcare professionals, and grief groups for healthcare providers. Mainers are finding ‘going back to nature’ as a way to get out, camping, biking, gardening etc.
