Speaker of the Day: Stephen Huyler/Author-India Expert
A great neighbor of Etienne! Last 37 years been commuting between Camden and India! This last Covid year Stephen began writing a book about his 50 years in India. Inspired: A Life Transformed by India. He is an anthropologist by trade. Raised in Southern California, Ojai, a small town. His father was a teacher and lived in the dorm of Thatcher. When Stephen was 8, he visited Europe and roamed in a camping van for 8 months. University of Denver for undergrad and his mentor invited him to India. The experience was wonderful! Meeting amazing people along the way, an incredible experience. Stephen became a photographer while there to add to his writing. Attended University of London to receive his doctorate. Moved to Camden in 1983 and love this community! Open mindedness and camaraderie is greatest in all the places he has traveled. Stephen has written many books on art, giving voice to women and religion.

Community: Next Habitat Project will be in May 1st, 0830 to noon. (June 12th is next!) Let Tim Dresser know if you are interested in hanging out with some builders! (Philbrick Ave, Rockland) Come Join Us! The Yard Sale is June 5/6. May 6 begins our Matching Funds Event with UMC. Fence Project is beginning, working with Interact and Peter for painting! Should be complete by end of May.
Membership: Looking for an interim lead for this. A co-chair is in the wings but still need another chair!
